The Marine Mammal Care Center at Fort MacArthur will be participating in the Las Candalistas 42nd annual Walk on the Wild Side. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Care Center. The grandeur of Washington, D.C. will be the theme of the Walk April 28th and 30th, 2011 as Las Candalistas members enjoy "Celebrating our Nation's Capitol". The venue, Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall grounds, will contain colorful American Flags, replicas of majestic government buildings, patriotic decorations, and plentiful red, white and blue flowers. Interested in volunteering? The Marine Mammal Care Center at Fort MacArthur will be holding a series of new volunteer orientations on the following dates: Sunday March 20th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Monday March 21st, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
Orientations are held in the Center for Marine Studies classrooms. Directions are available here. Doors close once session has started, so please arrive promptly. You may pick up and fill out an application when you arrive. Please bring a pencil and paper. |
